#Sao Lourenco

This spot doesn´t work often, very heavy right and left wave on the best days, suitable for experienced surfers, sandy and rock bottom and works best at mid tide with northwest swell and East or SouthEast wind.

#Coxo's

The most knowned spot in the region as is a perfect epic wave in the best days, the bottom is reef-rocky and the wave is hollow, fast, powerful and very long. It´s a right handed wave that can provide rides of 150 meters. It works best in low and mid tide with a swell coming from NorthWest, West, and the wind NorthEast, East, SouthEast. Attention to the locals, crowded in the best days not suitable for beginners.

#Crazy Left

A world class left hand wave with big fast barrels, only for pro's or kamikazes, normaly uncrowded, on week-ends crowded with bodyboarders, long ride about 100 meters on a rock bottom. Works best from mid to high tide with swell from west and East wind.

#The Cave

Totally epic and heavy right hand wave with a powerfull barrel, suitable for pro's and Kamikazes, breaks close on flat rocks. This wave was discovered a few years ago by local pro's, it works best when the waves are over 2 meters with high tide and swell from Northwest and east wind.

#Ribeira D'lhas

A international spot where usually the WQS and other surf contests takes place. A very long right hand point that breaks over rock with very good sections. It provides rides from 150 to 200 meters and is suitable for all levels of surf.  It holds big swells and it´s very consistent working good all over the year at mid tide with east wind and swell from northwest, west. For the particularities that present this spot is crowded almost everyday.

#Reef

A right hand fast hollow wave with perfect barrels from take off to the end. Suitable for pro's and kamikazes only. The bottom is reef, sharp rocks, works best with swell coming from Northwest and East wind. Starts working on low and mid tide.  When perfect it´s crowded, in special by bodyboarders.

#Backdoor

Located between Reef and Pedra Branca this spot normally works in the summer seson, fast hollow wave with a barrel section over flat rocks and sand (attention to Urchins), providing short rides up to 50/70meters. Suitable for experienced surfers, uncrowded most of the time working. Works best with swells from North, Northwest and southeast or east wind at rising tide.

#Pedra Branca

When perfect this spot holds swells to 3 meters and is one of the best waves in Portugal. It is a hollow left with perfect barrels and considerable extension providing rides to 100 meters. Suitable only for experienced surf as it has one of the most dificult take off in the region. Rock bottom and lots of Urchins, best surfed from mid tide to high tide. East wind and swell from Southwest or west.

#Foz do lizandro

A beautiful beach break that works almost all year depending of the bottom that changes constantly with big swells. With several right and left hand consistent waves with good sections for manouvers. It works best with a southwest, west swell. Can be surfed in all tides and it is suitable for all levels of surf. Crowded in summer seson and in week-ends.

#São Julião

Another beach break that normally works best in the summer, offers right and left handed waves all over the beach. With the perfect bottom conditions breaks a long right at the north end of the beach providing good rides of about 150 meters. Suitable for all levels of surf in particular for beginners. Best swell for S.Julião is west with East or Northeast wind.
